THE AFTER SCHOOL CLUB (Opening hours 3pm -
6pm)
 The club is run during school term times and caters for children between 5 – 12 years. Children are collected from six schools in the Forest Gate area and escorted to the ELBWO centre where they participate in various activities until they are collected at 6pm. The ASC accommodates a maximum of 35 children with a waiting list in operation. Throughout the school year the integrated ASC provides a range of stimulating play activities for the children including craft workshops, general knowledge quizzes and drama games alongside a homework club. Children are encouraged to become involved in programme planning at the club through our monthly children’s meetings. The schools currently being serviced by this project are:  1989 Children's Act ELBWO is registered under the conditions laid out in the Children's Act 1989, to provide full day and after school care facilities. This requires us to fulfil strict criteria to ensure that the best interest of the child is being served. Our child care service regularly undergoes detailed monitoring and evaluation.
